Since four years ago, when Mischa Cheap was just a tiny bamboo shack by the street in Soi Ari, it’s been a favorite spot for people to chat about movies, music, and art. These conversations have led to many lasting friendships.
Some students would bring their school projects for feedback, working professionals sometimes shared their current projects. We felt lucky to learn from their perspectives. When we moved to a bigger place on Khao San Road, this vibe continued, even if not as often as before due to the size and busyness of the location. We’re grateful to everyone who shared their creativity with us.
Running a bar is great because we get to learn and be inspired by others all the time, and we want to share this experience with you.
This September, we’re opening a new bar on Song Wat Road, changing the name from Mischa Cheap to The National Bar. Since there are national museums, national libraries, and national airports, but no national bar. So, we thought, why not create one?

All activities are open to everyone, no membership required. However, we invite you to become a member to enjoy numerous discounts—really, a lot of them! Even though our membership card might look a bit old-fashioned (the actual card will be laminated, making it even more retro).
Applicants must be 20 years of age or older.
Under 25 years of age, membership fee is 500 baht per year.
Age 25 years and over, membership fee 700 baht per year.

Every time you come to The National bar, when you show this card you will receive three 50 baht discount coupons for purchasing drinks.

100-Baht discount on entry fees for parties or concerts organized by Dudesweet.

On karaoke nights, you can use this card to skip the queue and sing karaoke.

Every two months, we will organize secret off-site parties and provide a bus to transport people from the bar. Cardholders will not have to pay for the bus.

There may be other discounts from our friends' businesses, such as concert discounts, movie tickets, exhibitions, or restaurants, but we haven't started talking to anyone yet.
